SFist Tonight

CLUB: This evening's club night over at Pink (oh, by the way, do hit Bar Bambino before going over! It's just next-door and the area's best new restaurant, in our opinion) called "Buffet" should be re-titled "Buffet of Vagina." Why? Because they're serving up a night of all-female DJs. Kate Kelly hosts DJs Chelsea Starr, Pony P, and Mama Hen as they spin electro and rock sounds. And this is one of the venue's douchebag-free nights, so now more than ever is the time to head to the 16th Street boît or a bit of ass-shaking fun.

9 p.m. // Pink (2925 - 16th Street) // $5

CABARET: Award-winning San Francisco jazz/blues/cabaret legend Veronica Klaus croons over in North Beach. Tammy L. Hall tickles the ivories as Klaus hold the audience in the palm of her hand.

8 p.m. // Enrico's (504 Broadway) // free

KARAOKE: Check out "Rock Out Karaoke" over in the Mission. Most likely you will be not allowed to sing "Sunday" from Sunday in the Park With George, which is to bad since it's a great song, but you will be able to belt out a rock ditty or two. Glenny Kravitz emcees the rockin' festivities.

9 p.m. // Amnesia () // free

Question--I've lived right around the corner from this place for about a year now, but have never gone in—is it as exclusive as it looks from the outside? I'm kind of intimidated by all of the fancy pants I see coming and going...Anyone?

it's fine. perfectly fine for tonight at least. i tend to find these places less judgmental, exclusive, and clique-y as other venues like zeitgeist or pops. the only downside is that booze can be pricey. otherwise, people are there just to have fun.

Arghhh! Wipe your face, dammit!!
