SFist Blotter

- In the city of Richmond this weekend, a woman was "brutally raped" on the Richmond High School campus while walking home from the grocery store at around 11 p.m. The suspect was identified (though his name is secret from the press as of now) and arrested immediately after the attack.
- Carlos Padilla-Ovedio, 25, stabs to death Jesus Hernandez, 33, of Daly City, inside Cafe Durango in Daly City. Hernandez, it seems, made a "rude remark" about the waitress, which then led Padilla-Ovedio to kill him. Jesus. SFPD somehow magically managed to capture and arrest the suspect.
- SFPD sucks, fails to investigate hundreds of murders.
- Turlock cops, though, seem on their game. In an awful story we prefer not to go into -- read more about it here -- the shot to death a man in the process of beating a 12-month-old baby to death.
- Mind-numbingly awful musical In the Heights wins Tony Award for Best Musical. Barf. (Oh, yes we did just go there.)

From the brief number they showed, In the Heights looked better than Rent by several orders of magnitude.
Mankind is a scary people.
The only show I was interested in was Xanadu. I'm not sure what that says about me or the current state of Broadway.
I saw In the Heights and it was actually pretty damn entertaining, albeit cheezy at times, but that's a given seeing as how it's a musical.
I'm beginning to think you don't like The Hip Hop Nation Brock. Proof: y'all rarely, if ever, feature any hip hop in your SFist Tonight listings. Why you gotta hate on the MCs?
Just sayin'.
