Celeb Sightings?

The Bay Area is rife with celebrities right now. Oprah spoke at Stanford’s graduation. Beckham is playing soccer and selling underwear. Got any good stories or pix? Do share! Who needs the paparazzi when we’ve got SFist readers?

Friday afternoon, I bumped into Dave Chappelle and his family at Haight and Ashbury. No pics tho, sorry -- I'm lame!

i ran into Willie Brown last weekend in North Beach. then i ran into Sammy Hagar 10 minutes later. this past weekend i bumped into Armistead Maupin in The Dirty 30. then this morning i saw Frank Chu on NewMo.

ive never met Brock.

I saw Brock at the Cinch on Friday night.

happened upon. crossed paths with. met in person. exchanged greetings. shook hands with. took a photo together. passed by.

I was at a sex party with Christopher Walken on Saturday night.

spotted. met for the first time. kissed bum of.

when i say 'bumped into', i mean 'unexpectedly see someone who actually knows i exist'.

ok, so...

willie brown knows me, but i always have to remind him of my last name. im good friends with his son.

sammy hagar, ive only met that once.

armistead maupin ive only that once.

frank chu def could pick me out of a lineup.

adding: wasnt trying to be a braggart...i thought this post was about seeing famous folks around town - not the level of familiarity?

either way. fun two weekends ive had.

i went to macy's really early wednesday morning in union square. and as i was in line, martha stewart happened to pass by. she was there, believe it or not, checking her houseware collection, just like the macy's commercial!

i was going to go up to her but she was doing business. but some employees went up to her and martha was very nice. it was so cute, one employee said she got chills when she shook her hand.

I wish I had seen Martha Stewart. A friend and I concocted a cocktail and named it after her. It's called "The Drunken Martha". I really want to give her the recipe personally.
