Willie Brown Kicked It at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, What About You?

While we work on a meaty and insanely brilliant review of the recently opened JewMu -- which is, in fact, kind of way awesome, complete with numerous, noted artists responding to the Book of Genesis, and a nifty Laurie Anderson sound piece based on a letter of the Hebrew alphabet -- here's a possible Benetton ad or picture featuring former Mayor Willie Brown at the museum.
Did you go? If so, what say you? (We loved it, but there was an open bar flowing that night, so we cannot say for certain.)

Finally, this town is getting some worthy architecture. John King (SF Chronicle) saw a lot of good points in the building but stopped short of calling it great. NY Times critic Edward Rothstein basically said it wasn't Jewish enough for him. Fog City Journal was closer to the mark in my opinion.

Should have been you, Mickey Avalon.
Tried to get into the Saturday night event, but the 500 person line pushing into the already packed house prohibited me...
