The 46th homicide of the year. Looks like the city is well on it's way for another year of a record setting homicide rate. Seems to me that I once heard a paticular Mayor said he would sign his own peyion for a recall if he could bring the homicide rate down.

I live right across from the Eagle, and heard the gunshots just after 2am. Reported this on sfist tip page last night around 2:45 as a matter of fact. I went out and spoke with the police, who actually arrived no more then a few minutes after the shots were fired. I can say without a doubt that SFPD and SFFD were on scene extremely quickly, and did all they could to save the bouncer. My landlord has a camera installed on our building, and will be handing over footage from 1am-3am to the police in hopes that the camera caught the culprits on his DVR.
