According to the Associated Press, "Barack Obama effectively clinched the Democratic presidential nomination Tuesday." Is it done.
The tally was based on public declarations from delegates as well as from another 15 who have confirmed their intentions to the AP. It also included 11 delegates Obama was guaranteed as long as he gained 30 percent of the vote in South Dakota and Montana later in the day. It takes 2,118 delegates to clinch the nomination.
So. Does Hillary now have a shot at being his VP running mate? That is, if she ever concedes.

No way. She has $20MM in debt, and he'll pay her to campaign for him. But she will not be his VP.
Now Hillary can hop in bed with Huma Abedin and stop lying about not being a closeted lesbian. After throwing the "kitchen sink" at Obama she has about as much of a chance of being considered as the VP as Jen Seibel does of being the next Mayor of SF.

She will not concede.
She will "acknowledge the delegate count".
And she will be Barack Obama's Vice Presidential running mate when swine take wing. The skeletons are beginning to creep back out of the closet. Not that they were ever fully in.
La Clinton is basically trying to extort the VP slot by showing the whole universe how all the hardworking white American trash (and Puerto Ricans, who've shown us all once and for all the real reason they're not allowed to vote in the general election) is in her camp and no one can win an election without them. She's insane, her husband is cranky, her daughter looks like a spoiled horse, and I'm not amused. The whole Clinton family needs to be rounded up.

Dude isn't running for the UC-Berkeley student council or the Jamaica Plain Town Board...like it or not, he does need the "white trash" vote. The ass-kickings he received in big swing states don't fill me with much confidence (thank God he destroyed in places like Mississippi and Idaho), but if Obama can't win this year then things really are hopeless.
They both need each other, like it or not...I'd like Obama-Clinton (and it's looking like that's pretty likely), but Clinton-Obama would work too.

Let's all take a bong hit and share a box of twinkies. The ticket is going to be our good friend Obama - the presumptive nominee - and some older white dude from CA, PA or NY - maybe even John Edwards.
Hillary is grudgingly taking her ball and going home. Bill will continue to score other women behind and in front of her and Chelsea will take over for Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex & the City 2."
But that's just my opinion...

edwards is key. that will give them victory for sure. hillary is making it so easy for obama to say no thank you. she's priceless!
if obama really wants to reach those mountain and midwest swing states, perhaps he should nominate an ice-cold beer for the vice presidency. something like coors with a label that indicates when the can has approached a sufficiently frigid temperature via a mountain scape that changes color. imagine a hypercolor shirt, except for penniless, working-class alcoholics abandoned by fortune 500 companies and clinton-era globalization. i mean, what could mccain come up with to defeat that besides nominating baby jesus or randall terry from operation rescue?
