SFist Tonight

Flight_of_the_Conchords_%40_Gramercy%2C_2007.jpg

MUSIC: Indie-comedy team, Flight of the Conchords, performs in SF's swankiest digs. This New Zeland duo uses "a combination of witty observation, characterization, and acoustic folk guitars to work the audience" into fits of hilarity and, well, indie-ness. They've also won a Grammy Award. but don't hold that against them. They're highly entertaining. Read more about the two here.

8 p.m. // Davies Symphony Hall (201 Van Ness) // $32.50

CLUB: We love, love, love the Knockout; but, sadly, never get over there enough. But a lack of SFist's tipsy presence doesn't mean that you shouldn't head over to the Outer Mission to check it out. Why, just look what they're offering tonight: Bingotopia, fun rounds of bingo while drinking cheap rounds of beer, goes from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Then at 10 p.m., a West Add Radio Benefit Show (93.7 FM). Packed with fine DJs, the show will help keep pirate radio alive. Gambling first, then a benefit -- a fine balance, indeed.

8 p.m. // The Knockout (3223 Mission) // free (Bingotopia); $3 (West Add Radio)

I saw Flight of the Conchords on Tuesday. It's worth spending the money as they were brilliantly hilarious.

Can someone explain the whole Conchords thing to me? I've watched the show three times now, and each time it's been like ZZZ. Where is the funny part?

i like flight of the concords but tonight... its all about swervedriver!!!! woo!!!

this is like a classic rock reunion tour for the shoegazer set. i feel old and excited at the same time.

I saw them Tuesday too, and I wanted to have, like, 10,000 of their babies. OK, so maybe just Jemaine's.

I just ordered a hot Flight of the Conchords shirt from www.PantherTees.com. They have this MOTHA UCKA shirt that is sweet on the streets. They said not to tell anyone, but here is a 10% discount code, pts10 (it is case sensitive, so copy and paste it). Enjoy!
