SFist's Editor Snags Highly-Regarded "Best Of" Award

brock%20keeling.JPG

Congratulations to SFist Editor Brock Keeling for winning the Best Blogger title in SFWeekly's annual Best Of edition! It of course comes as no surprise to us that Brock is being honored along with the likes of Best Iconic Bay Area Newscaster Dennis Richmond and Best Mansion, Spreckels Mansion!

Since its launch in 2004, SFist (part of the Gothamist family of blogs) has become a reliably eccentric source for local news and gossip. And, of course, like most good bloggers, Keeling is responsible in part for a massive productivity suck that, over time, may well destroy the local economy.

Read more of what SFWeekly had to say about Brock here.

Please join SFist staff in congratulating our very own Brock Keeling!

let's hear it for nepotism!

Kudos, but does this mean that the Guardian will slam you?

no big surprise. we love you brock!

Congratulations, Brock. By the way, did you know that Pia Zadora won the Golden Globe Award for Best New Actress in 1981?

And she was married to a famous man.

Awww! That's really nice.

Your mother can be very proud, Brock!

Congrats, Brock! You deserve it!

"Best mansion" is the stupidest superlative ever.

Totally deserved, Brock.

Now you'll have to display it for years past its sell-by date, the same way restaurants do.

And TAYM, Pia Zadora was the Marisa Tomei of her day: an unfairly maligned actress whose true gifts were comedic. Your snark speaks not to her deficiencies, but to yours.

The parallel to Brock, though, is apt.

Hot or Not? rate 1-10 please [/jameth]

Well done Mr. Keeling

It's just such a shame you have all that talent but have not deigned to go to journalism school so you could actually produce something of value and help the world.

Kidding! You're the best. All hail the King of Snark!

Well done, Brock. You should be pleased and proud.

Congrats, man!

well done!!

Dang - I'd hit that! Any chance of a full body shot? Sex tape? Dirty jockstrap on eBay?

Way to go Brock! Standing ovation.

Brockstar!
Congratulations...

Restoring my faith in SFWeekly "Best of" awards! Just wonderful news!

Congratulations, Brock! Great photo.

Sweet! Congrats, and thanks to the SF Weekly for hippin' us to your blog. Should be a lot of new assholes like myself here now!! Keep up the great work.

Nice hat. Cheers to you, Brock!

Wow! I always assumed they would trash their former employees. Then again, this being a balloted prize there is not much they could do about it!

Huzzah!

49 Brocks for you, Brock.

PS: I just noticed that SFist as an entity won Best Blog.

Ill bring by an 8-Ball and some Grey Goose and drop it off on the front porch of your HQ.

Then again, this being a balloted prize there is not much they could do about it!

Uh, actually no, Brock was a staff pick. Best blogger wasn't on the ballot...though he probably would have won regardless if it were.

Congrats, Brock!

Congrats, Brock. You crack me up constantly.

Woohoo! Congrats Brock! You deserve it!

and to think all this time i thought you sucked. guess i was wrong.
