Limon is fine but bit expensive and pretentious -- though the ceviche is good. I recomend Destino for a cheaper and more casual experience with better food.

I love photos of Mission buildings you post because I can remember which buildings I've had sex in and try to remember who the trick was and how out of my mind I was at the time. Sigh. Memories.

Wow, apparently only the Haters didn't have plans to skip town early. Skipping the ceviche here is like going to Tokyo Go-Go and skipping the sushi to go straight for the tempura. I think they make some damn good ceviches, and I've also been quite pleased with the seafood stews I've had there. And for what it's worth, it schools Cha Cha Cha, which I also happen to enjoy.

I didn't try the ceviche (obviously should have) but OTHERWISE I was very disappointed with Limon... Some people like these kinds of places... where they sort of rush you because they want to make lots of money by keeping the door revolving... and where the pretty-boy waiters sort of give you a whole unnecessary schpeal since they want a huge tip even tho their actually waiting service is below average... It's one of THOSE kinds of restaurants... you know? expensive, yet you can't relax. People like them, but I don't get it. And the food... it was okay... no better than Cha Cha Cha!!!

Hey Brock, remember that ceviche I served at my housewarming in Hayes Valley in 2003? You liked it, as I recall. That came from Limon, before it moved to its current location.

I've been to Limon and was not impressed. The service was awful, and the food arrived cold. Total bummer b/c I was really excited about it--as I too-- adore Peruvian food.

Valencia Street is turning on its residence. Wonder why? I think Limon is above average but it isn't a restaurant which I say, "Let's go to there!" (and I love Peruvian food).
