Ha! Sucks To Be You, Los Angeles!

sfbeach.jpgHeal the Bay just released its list of most polluted beaches in California and guess what! All the beaches are located in Southern California -- well, except for two: Campbell Cove State Park Beach in Sonoma and Clam Beach County Park in Humboldt County. But, still. Ha!

Sure, our water is colder and we've spilled a ton of oil and garbage around here but despite this all we have the cleanest beaches in California. What the hell is LA doing to their beaches that keeps them worse than all of our spills?

So what better excuse do you need than this to head to a beach? The weather is beginning to be nice again. Start pretending you're coming down with a cold and hightail your butt to a beach. Brock says to go with whooping cough, but we say bubonic plague is easier to pull off.

Unfortunately, the easy response from SoCal is that they actually use their beaches.

Sure, there are people at SF beaches every day of the year - Just not nearly the same volume as down in LA.

There are beaches in San Francisco?

As it turns out we take poops at the beach.

JK, but seriously at least our beaches are warm enough to go swimming in during the summer (without wetsuits).

Btw, I still miss the Bay Area where I grew up.

Exactly. People would have to care about having a beach in order for anyone to notice that it was polluted.
