Imagine a privileged, feckless youth who has committed a horrible crime. Now imagine a man who has spent the rest of his life trying to redeem himself from stain of said crime. Now compare the man to Ted Kennedy.

My mom once recited a doggerel to me many years ago that went something like, "One Kennedy brother shot an arrow in the air and it landed in Washington..." It was not flattering to Teddy. Anyone else have elder parents to call on to ask how the rest of that went?
