Senator Ted Kennedy Diagnosed With Brain Tumor

TedKennedy_1962.jpg

This just in--interrupting The View no less. Bah!--Senator Ted Kennedy (one of the leaders of the democratic party and tipsiest of the Kennedy clan) has been diagnosed with malignant brain tumor just days after having a seizure. He's got the brain cancer, folks.

About half of the people with malignant brain tumors die within 18 months. Camelot, it seems, is almost all but gone now. Turn, turn, turn.

"It's not a tumor! It's a headache!" --Kindergarten Cop

A little too flip, for such sad news for Senator Kennedy and his family? That said, I do always love the cattiness... It's what keeps me coming back.

I'd like to think that Mary Jo Kopechne will be waiting for him on the other side, ready to throw the switch that makes the floor fall out from underneath him. She's entitled.

My mom once recited a doggerel to me many years ago that went something like, "One Kennedy brother shot an arrow in the air and it landed in Washington..." It was not flattering to Teddy. Anyone else have elder parents to call on to ask how the rest of that went?

44 minutes until some crank shows up with a "Mary Jo" crack?

Tendernob - you're slipping. And poking fun at people when they are diagnosed with cancer is nothing I would attempt to balance my karma on.

Oh, cry me a river. Or a Martha's Vineyard lake.

I've started a poem:

I heard this vicious rumor,
That Ted Kennedy had a tumor,

anyone?

Great Man, Great family. Great tragedy.
Prayers and thoughts go out to him.

Imagine a privileged, feckless youth who has committed a horrible crime.

Now imagine a man who has spent the rest of his life trying to redeem himself from stain of said crime.

Now compare the man to Ted Kennedy.
