despite what the lefties in town may think, once you leave the City Limits, in many many House races, people are beating many Democrats with the "SF Values" and "Pelosi Democrat" label, and they don't mean that in the "warmonger right winger" way some folks here seem to think. it's more in the "OMG this person in your community supports mandatory abortions, freeing murderers always, and making sure everyone is on the meth, the pot, the quaaludes and the acid" kind of of way. In other words, in The Rest of the World, what is considered "liberal" is like, way different than what out of towners and the Unwashed Left seem to think. I realize that comment is uncomputable to the pwogwessives and the like, but, deal.
