Of course, I still drive to job interviews because, c'mon, I need to be on time.

I've never understood why anyone who lives in the city would want to drive to work. Dealing with the traffic and paying out the ass for parking plus having to find parking again once you get home doesn't seem worth it. Even compared to the unreliable, tortuous hell that is Muni.

People were honking at the riders on Market yesterday.

Not sure if they were honking in support or if they wanted to kill everyone in their way.

It was a bit of a madhouse, not to mention the roasting temps!

I was naughty and drove yesterday. Upon getting home from work there was not a parking spot to be found on my street. Obviously my neighbors aren't as big of a jagweed as I am.

To commemorate the occasion BART had a total meltdown during the PM rush hour. At 4:50 PM "Next Richmond train in 26 minutes", Pittsburg Bay Point trains weren't even on the board. Plus there were newbie biker trying to get onto the packed trains at Embarcadero, even though the trains were full by the time they reached Powell.

To add to the fun, this morning when I rolled into Embarcadero about 8:30 there was a broken down train on the EB tracks, and my Daly City train was taken out of service at Embarcadero.

For 1/3 the cost of a 737 airliner you'd think a BART car would function in 90+ degree temperatures. I guess it wasn't in the contract.
