What Is Bicycle Gadfly Rob Anderson Doing on Bike to Work Day?

Show me the Legalese: Rob Anderson's latest project?

Our Bike to Work Day took us down the bike lane on Alemany Boulevard -- one of the last bike lanes striped in San Francisco before the injunction against the city's Bicycle Plan. (The lanes were striped in April 2006; the injunction granted in June 2006.)

So we wondered, of course: on Bike to Work Day two years later, what is procedure buff and injunction mastermind Rob Anderson up to? The public record has some clues connected to San Francisco Superior Court Case Number: CPF-08-508038, but we'd have to go to law school to figure it out.

Mr. Anderson's account of the proceedings is here.

I'm so glad SF still allows for the grudges of angry men of all political stripes to express themselves via the legal system. Glad to know some lawyer's getting some $$$$ out of this.

The lawyer in question is Mary Miles. I heard she submitted something close to a million dollar in legal fees for her and Rob's suit and only got half. Rob hasn't said on his blog how much his share is. Our tax dollars at work.

You mean serving the community isn't a reward in itself?

Yeah, certainly the left would never consider filing a lawsuit to stop a project it disliked. Get real people, you created this baroque procedures; is it asking too much that you abide by them?

can someone PLEASE get Rob a new tampon?

I mean, yeah, bicyclists suck..but tossing all this money to a John Edwards type trial lawyer?

Get Rob a tampon stat!

Yeah, pretty bad. And Greg, I promise we wouldn't suck as much if the city told Rob Anderson to shut up and gave us more bike lanes.

Excuse me? A "John Edwards" type trial lawyer? What type is that? the one who will spend thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands) of his own dollars to make sure you are taken care of when Ford knowingly puts a dangerously designed Pinto on the road and you are injured when your car explodes? You mean THAT kind of trial lawyer? Or maybe the one who spends his own money to see that your employer takes care of you after you break your back at work on a ladder your employer had REPEATEDLY been told was broken? You mean that kind of trial lawyer? Fucking spare me.

Rob Anderson is the hot, infected, angry boil on the ass of San Francisco named Chris Daly.
