SFist Tonight

READING: You know the people who read aloud at the 16th and Mission BART station? Not the the ones espousing the virtues of baby Jesus, but the poets, loners, and college kids who read their writing out loud? Well, it's the station's fifth anniversary of hosting bon mots, and what with the weather being too darn hot, you all should head over to the 16th & Mission Five-Year Anniversary party. There wil be readings, of course; music; and copies of the "unexpectedly great" 16th & Mission Review.

9 p.m. // 16th St. and Mission SW BART Plaza // free

CLUB: (God, we hope their ventilation is in top form tonight; there will be some sweaty folks here this evening.) Rickshaw Stop is hosting a "Bike Away From Work Party" to honor all y'all who ride your bikes to work today. And get this: there's no cover charge and free food will be available. Also, DJs Toph One and EmDee will keep you entertained on the dance floor before heading back home.

6 p.m. - 10 p.m. // Rickshaw Stop (155 Fell) // free

MUSIC: Hey Willpower, Invisible Cities, and School for the Dead will give you some of the hottest aural pleasure in town tonight. (And, my, won't the TL be fragrant tonight!)

9 p.m. // Hemlock Tavern (1131 Polk) // $7
