Muni's Guide To The Weekend: KFOG KaBoom

Oh my God. KFOG KaBoom. It is here. Well, it's almost here. It's happening this weekend. And if you've never gone to this classic-rock concert, you should. It's a locals-only kind of event, but one you should try at least once. Basically, bands play and there's a fantastic, climactic fireworks show, but somehow it all manages to be very old-school Bay Area.
Oh, and Muni will be affected:
KFOG KaBoomOn Saturday, May 10, the KFOG KaBoom concert at Pier 30/32 will require a street closure on The Embarcadero from King Street as far north as Howard Street. The event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m...the 12-Folsom Muni bus route will be affected.
Parking will be limited in the area. No motorcycle parking will be allowed on The Embarcadero. Motorcycles will be accommodated on Harrison Street between The Embarcadero and Main Street. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. Muni's T-Third and N-Judah Metro lines go directly to the event site. The 10-Townsend and 12-Folsom bus routes stop nearby.
Monitored bicycle parking will be offered between Piers 26 and 28.
Also:
Girl Scout Walk and CelebrationOn Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Girl Scout Golden Gate Bridging Walk and Celebration will take place in the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and at the Historical Airfield in Crissy Field. Mason Street between Sports Basement and Crissy Field Avenue in the Presidio will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate this event.
The following Muni bus routes will be affected due to heavy traffic.
* 28-19th Avenue
* 29-Presidio
