She showed up. The new evidence and manifest injustice were comments made by Bevan Dufty in this Bay Area Reporter article. She felt the Board of Appeals may have been pressured due to remarks the report attributed to Bevan Dufty. I can't imagine why she thought questioning the integrity of the commissioners was a winning strategy. Her request was denied, again, unanimously, again. While we were outside talking with one of the bar owners, Bryson wheeled on by and said "SEE YOU IN SUPERIOR COURT!" Uh, whatever, lady. Next show will be the ABC's license transfer hearing, whenever that takes place is anyone's guess.

Perhaps we should call the Board of Appeals to see if she's faxed in a continuance request, but that probably won't happen until 4:59PM anyway.

I wonder what she'll actually do tonight: 1. Hide in her subsidized SOMA apartment and fax in a continuance request? 2. Show up and request a continuance request, claiming that HITW presented new evidence that she hasn't had time to review? 3. Actually state her objections in a clear and coherent manner? She's done the 1-2 dance every time, so I am wondering if she's capable making it to number 3.

Maybe it is because I live on the East Coast (or midwest, depending on where you feel Pittsburgh should be considered), but I have never heard the terms "glamourous limp" or "g-limp" before in my life. And I think I am happy about that. Anyway, I hope Hole in the Wall is up and running when I come out to SF for my third glorious visit this fall.

This woman has got to be stopped. It is outrageous that someone like her can still appeal after a unanimous decision. I hope that Bevan Dufty does in fact look into this. What a fucking pain the ass she is...

while I would not consider myself a hole in the wall supporter, it is difficult to see how moving an existing business 1.5 blocks has a material impact on the neighborhood. She had plenty of time to present evidence on how the move would impact the neighborhood PRIOR to the unanimous decision. She should have scheduled the G-Limp then. This is not "new" evidence, this is simply evidence she failed to present when she had the chance. There is a difference.

Having lived in the neighborhood much longer than Jakkee, I consider her the invader. There's definitely a negative impact in the 'hood, but I doubt Jakkee would be able to recognize it.
