maypole.jpg

Tomorrow's ILWU March for Workers starts tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. "after assembling at 10:00 a.m. at the ILWU Hall on Beach Street." The march is expected to head east on Beach, south on the Embarcadero and west on Market to Justin Herman Plaza.

No street closures or transit disruption are expected.

But during the International Workers' Day March--starting at around 3:30 p.m. at Dolores Park, then proceeding east on 19th Street, along the northbound lanes of Mission Street, north on 9th Street, and finally up Larkin Street to Civic Center Plaza--disruptions are anticipated starting at 3:30 p.m., going well into the evening hours. Also: "Although no street closures have been ordered, traffic diversions may be in put in place. SFPD Officers will monitor for any necessary street closures."

Update: F-Market, 14-Mission, 22-Fillmore, 49-Van Ness/Mission, 6-Parnassas, 14L-Mission Ltd, 26-Valencia, 53-Southern Heights, 7-Haight, 19-Polk, 33-Stanyan, 71-Haight/Noriega, 9-San Bruno, 21-Hayes, and 47-Van Ness lines will be affected.
