SFist Tonight

MUSIC: Mac users, Morrissey followers, "the flock" -- there is no fan as rabid as a Lynda Carter fan. We're not kidding. Tales of their obsessive behavior are stuff of cabaret legend. In fact, we met one once, an LC fan, who kept going on and on about what lovely decor she had in her fabulous home. Which, it seems, he viewed from outside her window night after night. Anyway, Carter--famous for being Wonder Woman and peddling moisture-whipped lipstick back in the day--is also a songstress. And a damned fine at that. Her show starts tonight and runs until Sunday. Go for Carter's lush vocals, stay for her loopy fanbase foaming at the mouth in the front row.

9 p.m. // The Rrazz Room (At Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason) // $60-$65

CLUB: Next to the ultra-secret meeting that takes place the at Cafe Royal once a month, a meeting that SFist is forbidden to mention--tonight's fundraiser is yet another reason to love the intimate venue on Post Street. AtmosTheatre is having a bash called Hobo Clown Fundraiser in order to cull some cash for the construction of a new stage at their amphitheatre in Woodside. Please check head on over to Lower Nob Hill for a night of hobo clowns, drinks, music, and raffle prizes! Oh, and check out their Facebook page here for more.

7 p.m. // Cafe Royal (800 Post Street) // $10 entry, $15 entry + drink / raffle ticket

FILM: Better known for the sleeper hit Marty (1955) and Network (1776), cranky yet brilliant screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky also penned this little gem, The Hospital, in between those two monster hits. Starring a post-Patton George C. Scott and Diana Rigg, this 1971 black comedy features a suicidal doctor (Scott) looking for the meaning of like while killer roams the halls of his hospital. Hilarity and death ensue.

9 p.m. // Castro Theatre (Castro & Market) // $6-$9

The listed events were chosen by the editors of SFist and brought to you by the Click Here2009 Toyota Corolla.
