there was a midnight release for this game, which is why Chron or whoever only saw "two-dozen hardcore gamers.' i happened to be in santa rosa and picked it up at midnight with about 300 other people (a line and everything) and then took yesterday off of work to rot my brain and distort my values. and it was awesome.

with all the free press they get out of it, i can't help but think the parents television council folks are just full of glee about this game coming out. the way they manage to get interviewed as "experts" on such matters for practically every mainstream article about this game is amazing.

Is Leland a playable character in this game? I'm sure protesters want to chase him down. As for the game, I paid in full a week ago and just picked it up a couple of hours ago.

What a misleading headline -- the critics certainly aren't aghast -- ign gave this thing a motherfuckin' 10. They should say "BUSYBODIES COMPLAIN, SUPRISING NO-ONE".
