SPF7 Sketch Comedy at The Dark Room This Weekend
A funny thing happened on the way to our last improv class taught by SPF7's Sammy Wegent (with SPF7's Bob Brindley filling in) last December. We fell flat on our face and had an epiphany: Comedy--and dare we say life--is all about falling on your face and turning your misery into entertainment. (We also learned we should never walk swiftly down a slight incline while wearing those dang chef shoes that always make us twist our ankles.) We highly recommend the class, BTW.
We are excited to see our old instructors and the rest of local comedy troupe SPF7 fall on their faces shine at The Dark Room this weekend during the premiere of their sketch comedy show, John Williams is a Dick. The evening full of hilarity will entail "San Francisco values, dildos, Capri Sun, the miracle of birth, white tigers, and an Oscar winning composer that is the root of all evil."
Buy your tickets here, or enter our giveaway below! Two winners will be chosen, and two tickets per night will be given away. To qualify, please specify whether you can attend Friday, Saturday, or either night. This is an all-ages show. The winners will be notified by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Check out SPF7's awesome commercial and a brief, "zany" interview after the jump!

To fit with the theme, we asked Sammy Wegent to come up with a list of random answers, while we simultaneously conjured up random questions. (We did not see the other's list until they were matched up.) Here is the best of the bunch:
1. Favorite place for a shoe shine: The Tender Knob
3. Best spot to see the views: Emma Watson
5. SF's best-kept secret: The old guy who sings "My Girl" on Mason St
6. Best place for a cocktail: The Crazy Horse
9. SF's best activist cause: A Bread Bowl filled with scotch
10. Best TV show set in the Bay Area: The Raiderettes (have they had a reality show yet? --SFist)

YAY! Thanks for posting this LeAnn, I will be in attendance on Saturday evening. Perhaps I will be seeing you there?
And yes, the improv classes are great!
Sorry, LeAnnE. GAH!
