BART Thanks You for Riding Via Free Espresso

Linea_doubleespresso.jpg

Amid all the Earth Day events happening tomorrow (events that will totally save the world), BART is also having their "Rider Thank You Day." What's in it for you, you ask? Free coffee--espresso, to be exact. From 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, Bay Area Fair Trade Coalition volunteers will be clogging our landfills by handing out 50,000 coupons to BART riders good for a one piping-hot fair trade certified espresso from Tully's Coffee and one free half-pound of fair trade certified beans when you buy a half-pound.

All certified Civic Center, Powell St, Montgomery St, Embarcadero, Oakland 12th St., and Downtown Berkeley BART stations will participate.

Rider Thank You Day, as in, "...thank you for not drinking your free coffee on the trains."

Rider Thank You Day, as in, "...thank you for completely missing the Fair Trade promotion day we just had a couple months ago. Tully's now believes you are all evil consumer pigs who would rather see your coffee growers in shackles and in starving poverty because you obviously didn't get the message the first time."
