Great Earthquake of '06 Commemorated

Around 350 people showed up to Lotta's Fountain this morning to commemorate the great earthquake of 1906, which happened at 5:12 a.m. 102 years ago today.
105-year-old Herbert Hamrol was the guest of honor this morning, one of the last quake survivors. He described the 1906 natural disaster as "a beautiful earthquake." Newsom, according to the Gate, called him "spirit of the city" and declared that "[t]here is no greater San Franciscan than Herb." Although Hamrol was the only survivor on-hand this morning, Donna Huggins, mistress of todays ceremonies, claims that there are most likely around "a couple dozen people still living who felt the earth move at 5:13 a.m. on April 18, 1906."
Coincidentally, a 5.2 quake hit the midwest at 4:37 a.m. this morning, centered about six miles from West Salem, Ill. The shaker could be felt from Chicago to Cincinnati. No one was injured.

Wow - totally forgot about it. Happy Shake Day folks!
And every single one of them was loaded up on drugs including his velvety bloodshot eyed Mayorness. The only one with an excuse to be awake at 5am was the 105 yr old guy who took too much viagra last night and couldn't fall asleep due to a faulty kickstand.
Jesus gave the Midwest a wake-up call. "Leave them gays alone, bitches!"
The largest quake in the US was on the, "New Madrid" [pro MA-drid] fault in the midwest.
It was an 8 something on the scale and was so big it changed the flow in the mississippi river.
Think it was in the early 1800s...
That area is going to really suffer when it hits again because they are nowhere as quake ready as we are [and think how pathetic we are in terms are readiness]
They do this every year? Because I thought the participants' lack of knowledge of the "San Francisco" lyrics at the 100 year bash was appalling and I'd love to show those "native" braggarts up next year.
who here doesn't know the lyrics to that song? that's terrible. here, let me remedy that:

Evidently NO ONE at the 100 year bash. Disgraceful.
Is Herb the guy who works at Andronicos on Irving?
wow, and I thought I had it bad......
heck an earthquake would improve my life maybe...
what with the cockroaches, the muggers, the bedbugs, the panhandlers, oh and lets not forget the people that have to deal with that stuff and serve us food both in the resturants and the healthcare and volunteer industries ( thanks to St.Agoneys and Let it Slide', as well as the verious free clinics here in the city), (anyone can wind up homeless or with a questionable 'STD' )
Thank You San Francisco !
