Of course district elections don't work from the perspective of Dede Wilsey and that annoying whiner Michaela Alioto-Pier. District elections gives little people, sometimes even crazy little people, a voise in city hall and this stands in the way of the swells in Specific Whites doing whatever they want with the City. It must be terribly trying for spoiled rich girls to be told things like "no" when they want to do things like waste a million American dollars to build a wheelchair ramp any jackass can throw down for $19.95.
Who cares what Dede Wilsey thinks anyway?
You can say what you want about city politics, but making MAP upset makes it all worthwhile somehow. It's uncanny.
Also, to clarify, Dianne Feinstein is still alive.

There was a murder on Mission ST @19th last night. Cops had Cha Cha Cha taped off, asking patrons like me if they had seen anything. Eight hours later, no mention of it in the SF Gate.
Regarding the Curbed article, I always find it cruel that so many people living in tiny apartments have large dogs because they think the parks are theirs to poop on whenever they want. It really does ruin the park for anybody who might like to walk on the grass. Yes, some responsible owners pick up the poop, but they don't get all of it. They just don't.
I don't think the posts are failing in Duboce Park because of vandalism. They're actually breaking off their footings, which indicates they're too weak. AFAIK the plan is to fill them with concrete to stiffen them.
Coincidentally there's a Dogfest sponsored by Mckinley Elementary at that park today.
Maybe Dede [love that name] will run for supe herself and fix the homeless problem!

Dede Wilsey on the Board of Supervisors would give the tired old phrase "let them eat cake" an entirely brand new life. I'd almost support such a nomination, if only to watch someone as wickedly scheming as La Wilsey try to navigate the tard infested waters of SF politics. Could you imagine the kind of comedy that would arise from conflicts between Chris Daly and Dede? Hilarity would no doubt ensue.

I tried to check the crime map to see what happened with it, but "homicide data is temporarily unavailable".
Got to be careful round Capp (in yo' ass) or you might get Shotwell. That would not be a Treat.
If Supervisor Pier really doesn't like her job, her colleagues on the Board, doesn't like driving to work every day, and can't find a way to work well with her fellow legislators, perhaps she should find a new job, one that she would like better, and that would allow her to enjoy life more, instead of this constant whine every time she talks to the press.

2 Dead In Late Night Shootings In Vallejo, SF

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ― A Vallejo man and a San Francisco resident were the two victims of separate homicides that occurred within 15 minutes of each other Friday night in San Francisco, a medical examiner's office investigator said Saturday morning.
At 10:47 p.m. officers received reports of a shooting in the 1500 block of McKinnon Avenue. Keith Johnson, 24, of Vallejo, was found fatally shot, medical examiner's office investigator James Fiorica said.
Minutes later, at about 11 p.m., officers received reports of a shooting at Mission and 19th streets.
Santos Rafael Canto-Aldana, 21, of San Francisco, died as a result of that shooting, Fiorica said.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with either homicide.

Districts or citywide, no way will the supervisorial district include MAP's real home of Napa.
It's actually in the town of St Helena [MAP's home. Is that Napa County?
It's sad that city government and tourism are the best careers our once-great city has to offer.
mister big, some dogs don't require as much exercise as small dogs. Greyhounds, for instance, require very little "in-home" exercise. They just curl up on a bed and sleep most of the time, although they enjoy a lengthy walk.
My advice to those who want pristine grass to walk barefoot upon would be leave the city and get a suburban backyard.
Because quite frankly, even if you suddenly banished every dog from this city, there's no way walking around barefoot in a public park is a bright move. If it's not dog shit, it's human shit (which I see a LOT). If it's not human shit, it's beer bottle caps. If it's not that, it's broken bottles, crushed and jagged aluminum cans, or frat boy urine, etc., etc. ad infinitum.
