Favorite Story of 2008 So Far

Boing Boing's wonderful things camp up with this beauty. Antonio Patrinostro, 43, was busted by cops last week after "ramming three cars and causing minor injuries" while driving up in Marin. It seems Patrinostro was "on a mission for Area 51." Naturally. Marin Independent Journal has the scoop:
Patrinostro "told the officer that the vehicle could fly if he went fast enough, and basically just started bouncing off of cars," (California Highway Patrol officer Mary) Ziegenbein said."He was under the influence of cocaine, Valium and marijuana and stated that it was a top secret experiment with his doctor for Area 51 and the government," she added. "He also stated that he was working for a cure for AIDS by taking the drugs."
Wow. Who blows rails and then smokes pot? Freak, indeed.
At right, Area 51.

Way to compromise security, Antonio. Now everyone's gonna want their own flying car! Wait until the mothership hears about this. I told them Patrinostro was a loose cannon. But, did they listen? Nooo.
Oh.
I mean- heh-heh. What an eccentric human... I mean... guy... heh-heh. Flying cars? Crazy. Nothing to see here, people. Heh-heh. Just another druggie high on the dope, right?
Duh, everyone knows you also need heroin and vodka to make the car fly. What a dumbass.
HA! I thought that the pic of Area 51 was the magical flying combo of blow, valium and pot.
Area 51: now, more elusive than ever!
'Who blows rails then smokes pot?'
Anyone who wants to get to sleep.
that's what the valium is for, imo.
I aggree with MannyOrtez. Anybody in for a disco nap?
not that i've ever touched with of those drugs, because my body is my temple, but how does your head no explode with both of those in your system?
Had he added some PCP into that cocktail of drugs, he would have indeed had the cure for AIDS. Trust me.
Let me guess, it was a DeLorean,he was going 88mph and his real name is Marty McFly...
Wow! We were goofing off at work today with Google Earth and I was just looking at Area 51.
Check Out this Google Earth search:
Sendan Crater, Nevada; giant crater formed by the largest nuclear test in the continental US, just over the hill from Area 51.
Book Recommendation:
"In Nevada" by San Francisco's Jon Thomson, author of the "Biographical dictionary of Film". What other book covers Dean Martin, Nuclear Testing, Howard Hughes, Bugsy Siegal and Burning Man in one concise read?
Sorry, that is David Thomson
