Live Footage of Today's Olympic Torch Relay/Chaos
[Live cam view dumped from main page since Mogulus is testy on Firefox. Will replace shortly. In the meantime, visit NBC 11 or CBS 5 Blogs for live streaming action.]
Above we have Students For A Free Tibet's directorial debut of today's Olympic torch relay action. Sure, you could check out any local news site, but why not look at the above live stream from SFAFT. Hopefully, these guys--the ones responsible for Monday's Golden Gate Bridge protest--will be on top of the most chaotic and protest-y moments that might occur today during the flame's only U.S. leg of its tour.
We'll be coming at you with updates and nifty images as well. Oh, and be careful out there today, people. In addition to SF fuzz, we hear that trained-to-kill "Chinese commandos" will surround the torch. Oh noes!

Evil robotic slant eye gooks surround torch!
Those guys are just there to do what any other security force would do, to keep a bunch of dumbasses from stealing the torch and running off with it. I'm disgusted. I guess its cool to be racist now, as long as your target is Han Chinese.
That Mogulus software is the biggest piece of shit I have ever tried to wrangle. It locked up my firefox browser 5 times in a row and I am pinned up on a cable modem (1.2mbps) using a brand new laptop.
Dump that auto launch application and fast. It blows.
i just removed it. "piece of shit" is being too kind. will replace with other cam shortly!
the pro-olympic crowd showed up early this morning at mccovey cove. about 500 or so with chinese flags or with beijing 2008 flags. the protestors just started walking by my place along the embarcadero towards the cove. could make for the first interest confrontation of the day.
haha...thanks Brock. effin buggy software is teh suck!
I guess its cool to be a fascist, as long as your target is an unarmed Tibetan civilian.
Thousands of chinese torch supporters at Justin herman plaza, I had to walk through a sea of red flags before I found the tibetan supporters gathering a couple of hundred yards away. The chinese supporters are out in force and are very excited about the olympic torch coming through. I have a feeling that there could be some trouble between the different groups throughout the morning, even if the torch goes through. There were busloads of chinese flag carrying folks dismounting from buses from all over the state. Now back at my office and feeling bad that i am not out ther with my free tibet/darfur/burma, flag/tshirt/headband,
where were these protesters when the ioc was considering china as the host of this years olympics? it's too late. shut the fuck up!
Yes, let's shut the fuck up about human rights, can't spoil the show now.
Never too late Sucka

wsanders, what are you talking about? is that a quote from somebody? Were you actually offended by "trained to kill Chinese commandos"? What else would you call them?
one might say today's torch relay has made some sfist commenters a little...fiery. [rim shot]
Brock, I'm going to pinch you for that one!
Any predictions on how long before some Berkeley tree sitter/trustafarian makes a mad dash for the torch and dives into the bay with it?
