SFist Asks: Trivia Nights?

Gosh, trivia nights are swell. From Edinburgh Castle's critically-lauded Tuesday "Castle Quiz" night to Mad Dog in the Fog's lower Haight trivia night, we love 'em all. But a concerned trivia buff writes to SFist to ask:
[Inner Mission Tavern] might cancel trivia night at Inner Mission... Can you post something about it?
See, it turns out not that not many people are showing up to their Monday night trivia, which is actually quite fun. Can you, dear readers, suggest some changes? Advice? Trivia nights in SF you relish? And whether necklacing or slow slicing should be the preferred punishment for players caught cheating on their iPhones? Discuss.

How about let it die the grisly death it deserves?
the questions could be better, and the whole thing tighter, but...it could use as revamp. i like it there.
I like it too!
At Edinburgh you have to have a team of 15 superdorks to have a prayer.
At Inner Mission we have won with just a few.
keep it rockin! pass the krustinvichoslav beer!
Martin Macs, Tuesday night, Mark is a pro, Simple Minds are a bunch of dorks
Yeah, Edinburgh is ruined by the ginormous superteams.
The ones that Brainstormers run at Elephant & Castle and Temple are OK.
Clearly, SFist needs to sponsor a trivia night somewhere.
Tuesday nights at Bacchus Kirk are fun. Our team won this week for the first time ever! I think it's a pretty mellow vibe and difficult enough to be fun but not so hard you don't have a prayer.
Sundays and Wednesdays at the Pig and Whistle. Hard enough to be actually hard, and nobody cheats.
Wednesday Nights at the Napper Dandy.
Lovely Irish woman working the mic who sometimes butchers pronunciation. Always a good time, though you may have to compete against the table of Berkeley grad students...
Mondays at the Blackthorn on Irving street are great!
wednesday nights at the Lookout Bar in the castro is pretty fun. although i was really drunk and only went once, i'd probably go again.
