Oh Darling, an indie-pop band from Oregon, will be on their Spring Tour this week hanging out in the Bay Area. On Tuesday at noon, they will perform at San Jose State and then following it with a radio show appearance at KSJS, 90.5 FM, San Jose State's radio station, at 3pm. The best part: both shows are free! They'll be up in San Francisco on Wednesday night at Red Devil Lounge supporting Pete and J.

Thursday night there is a multitude of cheap choices that include some awesome local and not-so-local music. First off in the local scene, there's San Francisco's minimalist, Arp. He's been getting rave reviews and we even featured him in New Tunes Tuesday back in October. For five bucks, you can get into this show at Hemlock Tavern. For some other great local music, check out Cafe du Nord where you'll see San Francisco's own, Bird & Batteries and Social Studies. That's a great line-up.

Now, for the not-so-local bands on Thursday night, first off you have UK's The Cribs at popscene. (You'll always find a great party at popscene.) We are most excited about What Made Milwaukee Famous, ironically from Austin, TX. Their sophomore album, "What Doesn't Kill Us" was released earlier this month on Barsuk Records. It's filled with indie-rock gems and powerpop ballads. They'll be supporting Louis XIV, who were just here supporting the Editors back in February.

You won't want to miss Yellowcard's acoustic set at the intimate Great American Music Hall on Sunday night. One of our favorite, up and coming artists, PlayRadioPlay! will be supporting them. The Spill Canvas will also be a part of the line-up. Don't miss it!
