-- Before we dig into Bay Area mischief, and just to liven things up a bit, here are your ladies of-a-certain-age who have been arrested for having sex with their underage male students. All three teachers were arrested in over the last two weeks in Tampa, Florida. Ta-da. Cheers, ladies!
--Three people were killed in San Francisco early Saturday morning due to three shootings that took place within 40 minutes of each other. The first two fatal shootings, according to CBS 5 (via Bay City News), happened at at "Excelsior Avenue and Athens Street in the city's Excelsior neighborhood." The names of the male victims have yet to be released.
The second bout of gunfire, happening a little before 2:30 a.m., occurred at 19th Avenue and Irving Street, claiming the lives of Daly City's Jason de la Cruz, 31, and San Francisco's Derek Butch, 23. According AP, "the two men were shot after a dispute inside the restaurant over pizza." Whoa.
According to SF Crime, this bring the SF murder toll 27!
--A homeless man was shot to death during a drive-by shooting in the city of Richmond, and two other homeless men were wounded, after someone opened fire outside of the Church of the Living God. The suspect is described as "a black man wearing a red hooded sweatshirt," who fired several rounds a group standing outside the Florida Avenue church.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Riding the T-Third a short distance from 2nd Street down to Folsom, an older gentleman warned a younger man to get out of "his space" and if he didn't get out of "his space" (yeah, HIS space, on a public transit vehicle), the younger man would "get hurt." How insecure are we about our manhood when we threaten to hurt folks over how close they stand to you on the T-Third metro line? No wonder kids are killing each other over pizza ... they have such wonderful role models in the adults.

I gotta wonder... are there really more female teachers putting the makes on their male students than vice versa, or do these cases just get a lot more attention?

as for the T, makes me feel better for waiting for the N Judah instead. i'll take self preservation over racism, any day.

Whoops! Looks like the cops threw a stripper mugshot in there, cause there ain't no way number two's a bonafide teacher. I take #3 for sure.
