German is also the language of Schiller, Goethe, Einstein, Max Planck, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Gunther Grass, Heinrich Boll, Wim Wenders, and many other great writers, philosophers, scientists, and filmmakers. As someone who has spent decades learning German and studying its culture, I too would say "Fuck Hitler," since he is far from the embodiment of all that the German language and culture have brought to the world.</p>
