Even though the German language is aesthetically questionable, the above flyer advertising Deutsch language tutoring has changed our mind. Apparent expert in German language studies, Paco, has come up with this ingenious ad (and how cute is sad Hitler?!) asking you to forget the country's former Nazi ruler and participation in the execution of over six million Jews--which much of the world already did anyway--and learn the chunky, consonant-heavy tongue for a scant $8 an hour. What a deal!

Um, so what does wanting to learn German have to do with Germany's Nazi past? German is also the language of Schiller, Goethe, Einstein, Max Planck, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Gunther Grass, Heinrich Boll, Wim Wenders, and many other great writers, philosophers, scientists, and filmmakers. As someone who has spent decades learning German and studying its culture, I too would say "Fuck Hitler," since he is far from the embodiment of all that the German language and culture have brought to the world.
