At least her bike has brakes, so she can, like, stop, and stuff. All I know is I have a friend whose life was saved by a helmet. She needed to get some dental work after a particularly nasty crash, but she's still alive.

im getting sick of all these riders not wearing a helmet. hello drivers are not going to change and unless you do both occasionally you understand both parties. actually the other day I almost got jammed by another fellow asshole pedaler, that failed to stop the red light and I had the green light. bad bad bad... HELMETS ARE SEXY. wear one.

The messenger bag protects her from all injury. Beside the car is giving her plenty of room by SF standards, it's straddling the white divider thingy, and she's halfway out in the lane where the should be instead of bobbling along at the curb.

also notice how the car is merging into the lane and the bicyclist is just barely avoiding getting hit. scary!

You've got to be about as brilliant as granite to ride around in this town without a helmut. Fashion first...she's cute, but I ain't sticking around to chew her food for her after the crash.
