Come on. Who spits on the window at Twin Peaks properties? Harry Alito is a pathetic old man - he owns something like nine million apartment buildings, and he's angry at the people who made them worth something. He could have been stuck with a bunch of worthless unrentable houses in Detroit and been forced to burn them down for the insurance money back in the 70s. And yet - the people who live in Noe Valley live and let Harry Alito live. You'd like to think people vandalize his storefront...Nope, they think to themselves "What an old tool," and keep on rolling.

the new wells fargo is ok i guess, but rite aid will be sorely missed. i mean who goes to a bank anymore anyway? since moving to SF i've been in a wells fargo office 2x, once to sign up, and once when my card got temporarily suspended when i tried to buy stuff on the internet from a place in russia. and anyway the small office seemed big enough to solve that problem. the atms already do 99% of what i need except for having 12 packs of pacifico for $8, which rite aid did just fine.

Twin Peaks Properties rock, I bring every out of town visitor by their window. I just love the quirkiness of 24th street, and Twin Peaks Properties is the icing on the cake. (Shame on the idiots who spit on their window on a regular basis).

I lived one block East of there for a while back in the late 1990s, above Noe Valley Music. It was a strange, strange place -- even then. My favorite was the hand letter garage sale sign that added the note "and come see our new baby!" I still wonder if the poor thing was for sale as well.

The thing I most adore about the "English Spoken Here!" sign at Twin Peaks Properties is that it is accompanied by an astonishingly poorly-drawn smiley face where the smile extends way up past the left eye.

Just want to say I love this feature. It's a damn good idea, and well executed.
