$10,000 Tip Reward Offered for Richmond Murder Arrests

Even if a tip doesn't lead to the conviction of a murder suspect, the Richmond Police Department just started offering $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of homicide suspects. While cash-for-information leading to a conviction can take up to several years, or in some cases a decade or more, to receive, now witnesses will be able to claim their reward "even if it doesn't lead to a conviction," according to Richmond Police Lt. Mark Gagan.

An added blanket of security will also help people come forward who have had the misfortune of witnessing a homicide: tipsters can also remain anonymous while receiving payment without having to go to the police station to collect the reward. So start snitching, people; you can get away with it now. (Well, hopefully you can, that is.) Call the Richmond Police Department's watch commander's office 510-620-6643, or call the anonymous tip line at 510-232-TIPS, if you've seen or heard of any bloodshed that's resulted in a fatality. (Although you will, according to CBS 5, "still have to give enough information for police to have probable cause to arrest someone.")
