How about re-routing the bike line down around mcCoppin and onto Valencia - UNDER the freeway. Anyone know if the truck did the typical illegal right turn from Market? It seems from the article that he was driving down Gough.

Seriously, did an intern figure out the traffic patterns when designing this futuristic boulevard? It's not just Market/Octavia. Fell/Octavia is also scary. Laguna between Haight and Page is also a nightmare in the morning- nobody lets the bus have its turn, so it just sits there, or it does something sketchy.

Did you hear about the two professional cyclists from the Bay Area who were struck and killed (a third was injured) by a sheriff on a routine patrol in Cupertino yesterday? Awful.

The only way for something to change is if G. Newsom or one of our city supervisors gets hit or killed while riding a bike (or one of there loved ones). Then they MIGHT do something.

This intersection is a disgrace. And what is up with all the hit and runs? Everyone knows the one way to murder someone and get away with it is by running them down with your car and say "oops, my bad."

so, when is the city going to actually do something about this intersection, as well as the fell/masonic intersection? how many cyclists need to get injured or killed? i go through both of these intersections on my daily commute and they are both terrifying and impractical to avoid
