Today we're not going to be talking about just any BART. We're going to be talking about your BART. Well, technically, it's myBART; and we're astonished to report that it's actually a rather good idea. Here's how the website describes itself:
myBART sends out a free weekly email full of entertainment news, ticket giveaways and big discounts to events happening close to BART stations.
Holy crap. A transit agency ... that actually provides you with reasons why you might want to use it. That's ... actually ... wow. We're speechless. Check out the list of interesting BART-connected destinations, events, and weekly discounts. And hey, don't forget to enter their contests to win stuff like a $50 BART ticket, or free airline tickets departing from SFO, the BART-connected airport.
Well played, BART. Well played. You win this round.

plus they have a humorous tone in their communiques:

When I checked events closest to Civic center station, most were close but the SF Zoo, DeYoung and Stern Grove?
Great link, thanks for the heads up. That site's web copy just gave me a big ol' happy.
I'd sign up for myBART if it came to myNEIGHBORHOOD (the sunset).
