I still can't understand the Little Saigon issue. You would think that an area as bland as the South Bay would jump at the chance to have a section designated something other than "traffic bordered by strip malls". Instead they screwed this up, and Santa Clara rejected naming Koreatown as well.

What exactly were they going to name it, if the name preferred by people living and working there isn't sufficient? Maybe they should go generic, eg "Town". They could paint everything beige.
