<description>&lt;p&gt;What I find odd is that the story implies the giraffe was alone when it gave birth.

Even cattle and goats usually have a vet standing by when they give birth (or they did where I grew up).  An exotic, expensive zoo animal is in the final stages of gestation and no one is around?  It&apos;s another indication of how poorly run this zoo is, in my opinion.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
