Everyone hates a lawyer. Until they hurt themselves at work, or get their entrails sucked out because of some defective product, or their car explodes because of a defect the company KNEW about (and decided it'd be cheaper to just pay out the occasional wrongful death action) and their boss/giant corporation tells them to go fuck themselves. Then they run crying, wee, wee, wee to who? To a fucking lawyer, that's who.

Easy now, childrens. The yogurt shop wasn't chainy enough to be banned when it was originally approved. It became too chainy during the long build out process. And as for being a lawyer, everybody loves lawyers, right?

I hear that his next venture is opening a Kool-Aid stand next to the Fillmore, you know, in front of the post office. yeah, right there...

Yul Kwon? Elected office? What. A. Nightmare. Working as an aide to Sen. Lieberman, he was instrumental in drafting the parts of the Homeland Security Act that allow the Federal Gov't to spy on US citizens. Which makes him, in my book, a first-rate douche. Jackie Speier, on the other hand, is a huuuuuuge privacy rights advocate. And even she's going to be challenged from the left by super-duper-web-rights-guru Lawrence Lessig. This is going to be a very internet-y election. And I genuinely can't think of a worse person to win it than Yul Kwon.
