Breaking News: Newsom and Siebel Briefly Go Without Gravitational Pull

newsom-gravity.jpg

Oh, for the love of God. Really? Okay, we'll bite. Ahem: while some of us were going through a chemically-induced bender over the last few days, because that's why God invented the three-day weekend, celebrity couple Gavin Newsom and Jennifer Siebel were flying high as well. According to SF Sentinel (via Spaceref.com):

Zero Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G(R)), the first and only FAA-approved provider of commercial weightless flights, welcomed San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and fiance Jennifer Siebel to experience a weightless adventure aboard one of the first zero-gravity flights for the general public from NASA's Moffett Federal Airfield on Saturday, February 16, 2008.

During the unforgettable weightless escapade, Newsom and Siebel flew like Superman, flipped like Olympic gymnasts and enjoyed 10-times more hang-time than the world's best basketball player. The newly engaged duo floated on cloud nine as they danced mid-air in the rare and exalted state of weightlessness.

And...yeah, there you go. Oh, and nice socks there, Gavin.

great, our very own Heidi and Spencer.

haha! i am so jealous i didn't think of that first. nice one, teerash.

Even in zero g, not a hair out of place.

Off topic: Liverpool 2 - Inter 0. To the whole of Italy I say, "Stick that in your sausage!"

That ride costs about $3,000 for the first person, but Sharper Image gives a 50% discount towards the second person. Ka-ching!

sorry Jen.... this doesn't quite compare to the rug photo in VF!!!

What's the big deal. Newsom's hair has always defied gravity.

We waited long enough to score them fizz. Andy Inter with only 10 men for the 2nd half as well..

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

The Kop to the tune of "You are my sunshine":

We can't beat Wigan
We can't beat Barnsley
But we can always beat Milan
We have no clue what Rafa's thinking
But he'll always be our favorite Spanish man

or something

I guess she's not preggers.

I am starting to go off him a little.

Is he losing his pull? (geddit? gravitational pull? I know, it was rubbish). Maybe we should be writing his political orbituary (geddit? Orbit, it's like a space term or something). I think it would have been way cooler if he'd reenacted the scene from the end of Moonraker, "By jove! I think he's attempting re-entry!"

I didn't realize that the laws of gravity applied to Gavin in the first place. That was an election night photo before the polls even closed.

get back to work losers

of all the things ol' gav could do,dealing with endless bS or floating in zero g with a hot fiancee...which would any of us choose???

at least he looks genuinely happy in this pic....

Why would this put anyone off Newsom? I think Daly's a prat but if he, say, bungee-jumped off a Big Sur bridge during his weekend I wouldn't care either way...in fact, I'd probably think it was kinda cool.
