Unsightly STAR 101.3 Billboard Gone
Whoo-hoo indeed! The STAR Listener billboard, featuring Michelle from Oakland is finally no more. After nine or so months (by our calculations), those of us who live and/or work in SOMA or drive by the billboard on 101-South everyday will no longer be subjected to Michelle's...well, looks.
We just wish we could take some credit for the change. Oh well. At least she it is gone.
P.S. Yes, we are shallow and mean.
See the before shot after the jump.

Wow...kinda catty Deborah. Care to post a picture of your immaculate self?
Ah hah...there you are Deborah. Quite the one to talk, aren't we?
chrisr - If you can discern based on my blurry, low-resolution pic on the staff page, the level of my attractiveness/unattractiveness, I applaud you. Those are some enviable squinting skills you have!
I just love reading shallow lookist comments from someone under 30. Makes me remember how much I hated high school. Thank the gods you are beautiful, charming and sweet-hearted, right Deborah? How awful that you have to look at unattractive people. Poor li'l pitty....
Is lookist one of the ists?
Can I write for them?
I'm right there with you, Deborah. I'm not gonna miss waking up to Michelle every morning. It wasn't even that I found her unattractive/attractive... I just got so bloody sick of seeing her. "Whoo hoo!", indeed.
What makes me an even scummier human being is that I'm actually over 30. The horror!
that billboard was annoying as hell. i'm delighted to hear that it's finally down.
Yes, actually, it does, old bag. Oh, the air is *so* nice up here on the high ground...
Now now. That's enough.
I thought the opportunity to be catty, shallow and mean was one of the main draws for commenting here. Or am I mistaken?
I noticed a week or so ago that the billboard I pass on 880 everyday on my way home from work was finally changed.
I was just waiting to hear if the one mentioned on SFist was changed.
When I saw this post, I totally laughed and 100% agreed.
The entire cheesiness of that billboard seems excruciating, although I don't recall seeing it in person.
It's not that Michelle is bad-looking, it's just -- what the hell does Michelle have to do with anything? The tag line says that I'M the STAR! Why the need to be confronted with a '90s stock photo of some chick in a tank top in front of a wind machine, is all Deborah's saying.
Now now. That's enough.
I assume this is directed towards your staff.
