"She wasn't there to vote." Yeah, she avoided it, proving that she really only cares about herself, and couldn't give a damn about the citizens of this country. Obama managed to make time for it. Every day I get happier and happier to see he's beating her craven ass in the primaries.

DiFi has been leaning back in her seat and willfully handing Bush the tools of a dictatorial regime for years. She's also the pawn of hypercopyright Hollywood interests and other undesirables from SoCal. She really is a disgrace and we could use an actual progressive in that seat. People seem to forget that she was a disgrace as mayor, also. She spent a lot of time handing out city assets to private interests, undermining the police, and subverting the 2nd Amendment. 30 years of disgrace!

I never knew the "telecom immunity" was the next big, single-issue. God, between abortion, the War, and those who favor blow-job immunity for sitting Presidents, now we have telecom immunity voters!!! Give that seat back to George Allen, Jim Webb (D-VA)!!! Allen would support telecom immunity as well, but at least he doesn't have that accursed "D" next to his state's name!!! And Bill Nelson (D-FL)!!! Kitty Harris should have won your seat last time around, as telecom immunity-single issue progressives demand you resign in shame!!! (SIGH)

Right. And just concede half of Red State America to the GOP? As a practical matter, just who, exactly, do you suggest we run against Diane Freaking Feinstein in the Democratic primary? Rather than voting against these Senators on this one issue, how about realistic suggestions about how to put together a coalition that'll muscle these bastards into line. Yeah?

In all fairness to Clinton, she wasn't there to vote. I'm annoyed that she didn't and it's a cop-out (not to mention the fact that she probably would have been pro-immunity were she there), but this isn't a fair representation - although I suppose she did "fail to oppose" it so perhaps I'm just blathering on incessantly for no reason. Blather blather blather blah blah blah tra la lee da doo...
