Muni's Guide to the Weekend: Asians!

Muni has three disruptions on their radar this weekend: The Chinese Flower Market Fair on Saturday and Sunday, the San Francisco Half Marathon on Sunday, and the Tet Fesitval Celebration on Sunday. All three sound scrumptious, even though only two of them are explicitly Asian.

Chinese Flower Market FairSaturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3, the Chinese New Year
Flower Market Fair will take place in Chinatown from 10:00 a.m. to
8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.The following street closures will be required from 11:00 p.m.,
Friday, February 1 to 11:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3.· Grant Avenue from Clay Street to Broadway
· Pacific Avenue from Columbus Avenue to Stockton Street
· Jackson Street from Stockton to Kearny Street
· Washington Street from Stockton to Kearny
· Intersections: Jackson and Grant, Washington and Grant, and
Pacific and GrantAll alleys within the boundaries of these closures will be closed.
The 12-Folsom Muni line will re-route around the Pacific Avenue closure.
San Francisco Half Marathon
On Sunday, February 3, the San Francisco Half Marathon will begin at 8:00 a.m.
The race begins and ends in Golden Gate Park. It is accompanied by a
5K Run which stays completely in the Park.San Francisco Half Marathon, continued
The street closures outside of Golden Gate Park will be as follows
between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., each street will be reopened as the
last runner goes through.· Oak Street from Stanyan Street to Baker Street
· Fell Street from Stanyan to Baker
· Baker Street from Oak Street to Fell Street
· Masonic Street from Oak to Fell
· Stanyan from Oak to Fell
· Kezar Drive from Waller Street to JFK Drive
The Northbound lanes of the Great Highway between Fulton Street and
Skyline Boulevard will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.The following Muni lines will be affected/re-routed.
· 18-46th Avenue
· 43-Masonic
· 23-Monterey
· 44-O'Shaughnessy
· 33-Stanyan
Tet Festival Celebration
On Sunday, February 3, the Tet Festival Celebration will be held from
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Larkin between Eddy Street and O'Farrell
Street.The following street will be closed from 1:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
· Larkin Street from Eddy Street to O'Farrell Street
· Ellis Street from Hyde Street to Polk Street
· Willow Street from Polk to Larkin
· Olive Street from Polk to Larkin
· Intersections: Larkin and Ellis, Olive and Larkin, and Willow
and LarkinThe 19-Polk Muni line will re-route for the duration of the closures.
