After women were again chastised warned about drinking coffee during early pregnancy last month in a Kaiser study, it looks like the media is ready to strike again, but now taking it to the next level with deadly birth defects that women have absolutely no responsibility for or control over.
We appreciate KTVU giving pregnant Bay Area women the whole weekend to think about how babies are dying, "and they don't know why."
Should pregnant women spend Superbowl Sunday thinking about what they did "to make this happen," even though we don't know yet what "it" is or how many pregnancies "it" effects?

Any woman who ingests anything besides Coca Cola and Ho-Hos during their pregnancy gets what she deserves. Or rather, her two-headed kid does.
