SFist Photo: Where Have All the Salmon Gone?
Disappointed fish freaks (some with "I Brake for Coho" bumper stickers on their cars) get the bad news about this year's endangered Coho salmon run at Muir Woods National Monument up in Marin County.

We've got wall-to-wall salmon coverage today. Of course things aren't looking good for Chinook, but our local Coho population is in bad bad shape. Last year's data was no picnic, this year's is cataclysmic. No spawning in Muir Woods at all for 2007-2008. Is the Cosco Busan oil spill a factor?
Per the rangers at Muir Woods, one Coho made it up Redwood Creek this month. Another Coho tried, but was intercepted and eaten by a hungry river otter. Oh well.
Godspeed endangered fishies.
