John Edwards Exits Democratic Race; Giuliani Soon to Follow

John_Edwards.jpg

John Edwards has overtured the Chutes and Ladders board, packed up his Gobots, and is going home. The Democratic and Coulterian faggot candidate, it seems, has dropped out of the presidential race. See ya, Johnathan. Who will former the North Carolina senator endorse? Not sure. But according to AP:

The former North Carolina senator will not immediately endorse either candidate in what is now a two-person race for the Democratic nomination, said one adviser, who spoke on condition of anonymity in advance of the announcement. Clinton said Wednesday that Edwards called her to inform her about his decision.

And on the other side of the fence, 9/11's golden child, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, is set to leave the race as well. He is most likely to endorse the elderly Senator John McCain. (Really, even his teeth are sepia toned.)

what a joke this primary process is. if i had known a year ago that it would have come down to a two-person race and i'd have to choose the lesser of two evils before november, i would have stopped paying attention. i'm bored. and uninspired.

i like the fact that mccain has pissed off so many folks on the extreme right within his party. he must be doing something right.

;)

Don't be thinking McCain is a good guy just because he pisses off the extreme right. He's a straight down the line Republican.

I guess Edwards wants to be VP ;)

Damn, he could have at least waited until after Super Tuesday. I already mailed in my ballot!!

yeah, i read his website. the gun stuff really bothers me. until we start putting people in the chair for any type of armed robery, we might as well give up on gun control altogether.

sad!

suckafree, you are or were a Ron Paul fan and you're bothered by McCain's 2nd Amendment platform? McCain's gun control stand is just standard Republican boilerplate. Ron Paul - jesu christo, the guy would ban all registration laws, believes there is a UN conspiracy to erode the 2nd amendment, and probably would sign a bill making it legal to carry RPGs.

To quote Steven Colbert - "the best government is one that governs least - like in Iraq and Darfur!"

yes, i am still a ron paul fan but have grown weary of the campaign's inability to get a single respectable result in any primary. i hear the youth vote will probably be non-existent this term as a result, btw.

i have bigger issues with ron' pro life and anti stem cell research than with mccain and his pro nra stance. at the end of the day, i figure the framers fucked us by putting anything about arms in the constitution/early ammendments but i can't blame them.

as any history buff will tell you, this country was born out of violence and back in the day you could just shoot anyone for any reason. kind of like in the bayview, oakland and tl today.

i don't think the framers ever had in mind that we should chose for women what they can and cannot do with their reproductive rights nor that that we stymie medical science to keep folks from surviving any of our more serious afflictions and diseases.
