A conspiracy theorist might think that the reason Gruel took this case and Ed retained Gruel (despite the obvious conflict of interest) was to set it up for dismissal later. Won't work, Edmund. No evidence that Gruel represented Ed in a less-than-competent manner. Oh, and Ed reportedly signed a waiver. Gotta wonder about the business sense of a man who loves to blow $$ on lawyers like this.

I don't know what's worse: the fact that an incompetent corrupt minor politician is facing jail time for being an incompetent corrupt minor politician, or that Britney Spears is certifiably batshit insane yet remains free to kill again. Or give birth again. Whatever happens first.
