Obamamania Infects San Francisco, No Cure in Sight.

Craig Newmark of craigslist.com entertained the crowd at last night's kickoff of the San Francisco office of Obama for America at 1874 Market Street.

Hundreds of workers and volunteers streamed in and out of the San Francisco Barack Obama HQ yesterday. District Attorney Kamala Harris was on hand to fire up the crowd. She spoke of her recent work on the Obama campaign trail in Iowa. Beloved San Franciscan Craig Newmark came out as Yet Another Independent Voter Supporting Barack. Craig said that he's endorsing Obama as the best way of "getting people together and unifying the country."

First Oprah, now Craig. Who's next?

"Yet Another Independent Voter Supporting Barack."

YAIVSB?

Worst acronym ever.

The AP is reporting an endorsement from Jesus pending his afternoon press conference.

Seriously, the positive energy in that room was off the charts.

how are these guys deciding upon obama or hillary as their candidate? i really don't see a difference in their positions.

Yeah Suckafree!
Titania lives!

=========

Zsa Zsa Gabor for Hillary

Don King for Obama

Huckleberry Hound for Huckabee

Martha Stewart for Sect of State under Hillary.
At least she'll know how to use all the forks on the table at a formal state dinner.

And Judge Millian from People's Court to sit next to Ruth Bader Ginsberg as the newest Justice!

i'm really bummed about the election now. i have recently decided that i cannot ignore ron paul' stance on stem cell research, pro life and immigration to continue to support him, eventhough i truly believe he is the the best candidate in the race.

so sad.

why does a doctor believe in that shit?

i'm really bummed about the election now. i have recently decided that i cannot ignore ron paul' stance on stem cell research (opposes it), pro life (supports it) and immigration (wants to throw everyone out) to continue to support him, eventhough i truly believe he is the the best candidate in the race.

I'm still laughing over Huckleberry Hound for Huckabee.

I went ahead and filled in Obama on my Democratic primary absentee ballot because Hillary Clinton is looking more and more like Richard Nixon in her campaign tactics and paranoia.

The have their background on that laptop set to *exactly* the same background I use on my computer. So I'm voting for Obama.

people like obama because he makes them feel good but sadly he's really just another corporate democrat who always votes to fund the nightmare war in iraq.

i wish i could believe in him, but please people, look at his policies and voting record. this guy isn't gonna come close to doing what this country and world so desperately needs.

besides making moving speeches what has this guy done to deserve your rabid devotion to him? until he decides to actually stand for something of significance, he doesn't deserve your time or your money.

hillary is even worse. god help us.

who are you voting for war?

Warsux, you remember the eve of the Iraq War, don't you? It was pretty lonely over here in Protestland.

There were precious few political figures willing to stick their neck out and oppose the war; Pelosi, Barbara Lee, Howard Dean, and a skinny kid with a funny name from Illinois.

Go and vote for Kucinch if you like, but let's not blur distinctions.

Warsux, somebody deserves our time and money. Because if they don't, then that will benefit the folks whose agendas you (presumably) REALLY don't like, e.g. Romney, McCain, etc.

if Obama can get people involved who previously were not (and it seems like he really has that effect) then I'll probably vote for him for that reason alone. Ron Paul does the same thing on the right, bringing in folks who might not have participated in the past, but do so now.

plenty of the political BS that goes on here and nationally would not if more people would simply put down the (insert distraction here) and pay attention a little more.

as for Obama and the war - well it's easy to sit with Anita Bonghit and Sally Hempcoat and armchair quarterback the guy, but you know what? He was against the war before during and after, and anyone who thinks the Democrats with their slim majorities and diverse membership in the House and Senate can simply wave a wand and command the entire US government, well put down the medical pot and get a US civics textbook for a change!

Obama's deal with the coal industry really soured me, and don't even get me started on the nightmare that is Hillary Clinton. How is it a score for feminists to vote for a woman who so obviously rides her husband's coattails?

On our house's absentee ballots, we voted Edwards. Super Tuesday hasn't even gotten here, I'm getting really sick of the Obama v. Clinton coverage. There IS a third candidate in this race.
