Dear AlertSF,

Why do you yell at us? You've done this to us five times today already, and we still don't understand you with the greatest clarity. To wit:

The National Weather Service reports/updated a Winter Storm Watch for the San Francisco area. ...SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST THURSDAY FOR THE TULARE COUNTY MOUNTAINS... ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE TULARE COUNTY MOUNTAINS... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH FOR THE TULARE COUNTY MOUNTAINS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST THURSDAY. SNOW SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT WILL ACCUMULATE 4 TO 7 INCHES AT 4000 FEET WITH AS MUCH AS 11 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET. A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM DROPPING SOUTHWARD ALONG THE WEST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES WILL SPREAD PRECIPITATION INTO INTERIOR CENTRAL CALIFORNIA ONCE AGAIN. ANOTHER ROUND OF ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE...

Remember what we learned in couples therapy? I hear/When you/Because? For the sake of our relationship, please slow, quiet down. Otherwise, you're a most useful tool, one we usually recommend to all of our pals and colleagues.

warmest,
SFist
